This study evaluated the impact of build orientation on the optical and surface properties of 3D-printed provisional resins. Findings showed that orientation had no effect on gloss, roughness, valley depth, or color stability, even after toothbrushing and UVB aging. However, all 3D-printed resins exhibited greater color changes than the control after aging, highlighting challenges in long-term esthetics.

This scoping review highlights the antibacterial potential of flavonoids against oral pathogens related to caries and periodontal diseases. Most of the 79 included studies demonstrated bacteriostatic, bactericidal, and antibiofilm effects, particularly against Streptococcus mutans. These findings support the promising role of flavonoids in future dental materials and therapies.

Experimental dentin etchants maintained stable bond strength, inhibited MMP activity, and showed antibacterial effects against S. mutans, while phosphoric acid achieved the highest bond strengths. These findings highlight their potential as cavity disinfectants with effective dentin bonding.

This in vitro study compared the accuracy of subtractive (milled PMMA) and additive (SLA, DLP) methods for interim tooth-supported restorations. Results showed comparable accuracy at the intaglio surface, but milled PMMA exhibited superior occlusal precision, reinforcing its role as the current standard.

This study evaluated the accuracy of fused deposition modeling (FDM) with biodegradable PLA compared to four resin-based additive manufacturing methods. PolyJet showed the highest trueness and precision, while FDM demonstrated accuracy comparable to SLA. These findings support FDM as a sustainable and cost-effective alternative for dental cast fabrication.
